A 2003 wagon I'm interested in is described as having a problem with the left side information bar occasionally flashing erratically. I've searched around on the forum and I haven't found anything exactly matching this issue, but I'm curious if this is indicitive of the instrument panel going out which I understand can cost over $1,000 to have repaired?

As a clarification, I'm told no error codes pop up, the display just flashes on & off at times. Everything else on the instrument cluster works perfectly.
