Sudden rough-running 98 XC p0305
1998 XC70 with 130,000 miles. Suddenly started running rough with sulpher-like smell coming from exhaust. OBD II code for misfire, Cyl. 5 (p0305) Check engine light came on. Appears to blink about 10 times when attempting to accellerate. Even if it is running on 4 cylinders, it feels like 3 by the loss of power.
I will be pulling the spark plug and looking at the coil tonite. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I will let you know what I find.
I amy try switching coil no 4 & 5 to see if I get a code for misfire on cyl 4 (p0304).
