Tailgate Struts Replaced - $43, one hour job
I asked my wife the other day if there was anything she wanted fixed on her car (the 1999 xc70). She said that she wished the tailgate stayed up better. I got two tailgate struts from eeuroparts.com. I went cheap - scantech. This was the cheapest they had. The pair cost me $43 total. I followed the instructions in the haynes manual. It took less than an hour to put them in. Well worth the effort. I am very surprised at the difference. It actually takes more force than I expected to close the tailgate now.
