I just purchased a 2007 xc90 3.2. The sticker from the dealer shows that it is advertised at the awd option, however the back tailgate does not have the awd logo and I am questioning wether or not this is a true awd or if it was misadertised? I only have 3 days to verify and because the dealer is closed today, I thought I would try this. Do you know of anyway to verify that this model that I purchased is indeed the awd?

 

The difference between AWD and 4WD is the differential. You can't use true 4WD on dry pavement without damaging the vehicle. So without even looking anything up I'm pretty certain you have true AWD. Not sure if you have true 4WD though. If there's a button or switch that locks the differential then yes, otherwise no.
