Default Where is the oil leak ?

Hello All - bought a 2005 XC70 recently and totally happy with how well the car drives but would like some comment as to the origin of an oil leak which shows on the sub frame RHS between the steering arm and the drive shaft. Not much but enough to make fixing the leak a priority.
Both the camshaft seals were replaced middle of August 2025 now with about 3000 Klm of city driving. What other seals are the usual suspects. The car now has 210000 KLM on the clock.

Thanks for any suggestions.

typical oil leaks include front and rear cam seals, front and rear main seals, VVT gears and solenoids, and finally the turbo oil return line seal. Given the car is new to you, you may want to check the PCV system - somebody went to the effort of replacing cam seals not realizing the real cause for the leaking could be positive crank case pressure. Try doing the rubber glove test (google for a how to) to start. Next inspect / clean the block etc. The turbo oil return line has a small gasket that can tear or leak and make a mess of the back side of the engine. $.10 part to fix. For main seals, you and VVT components, you can pull off the timing belt cover to make sure its nice and dry in there. don't want a wet timing belt to go unnoticed... Also, what kind of oil are you planning on using? Some older models will have hardened seals that can leak when you switch from dino oil to full synthetic or go from 10/40 to something thinner like 0-30. Tip here is to use a high mileage oil (blend or synthetic from a name brand like Castrol works great) which will help soften the seals and mitigate weeping. As with any oil leak,, best to start by cleaning the engine and then see if you can trace where the fresh oil is coming from.
