Well the announcment of a third baby meant the demise of our beloved 02 V70XC. It provided us 9 years of trouble free service and was a wonderful vehicle. We were originally going to get a CPO 09 XC90, however they had a fatal flaw, two car seats meant that our 9 year old would be left to climb over the center of the second row seat to reach her seat, and they were a step back in tech from the S80. We were going to trade the S on the 90 and keep the wagon, but we ended up trading the wagon (got $5300 for it), on a 2010 VW Routan CPO w 16k miles. I am now down to one Volvo.

 

Well, congrats! I actually got the xc because of three kids and that backrow rear facing seat. Will never forget the day (one week after our third baby) that my wife said, you have to go get a minivan NOW! This is only 9 months after buying a toyo landcruiser. Should of kept it anyway, but you know--"happy wife, happy life".

 

Thanks! we were as anti minivan as it gets. Ive taken to calling it the Croutan (it is mostly Chrysler) and my wife calls it the bus. I bought the S80 for her in Dec 10', it is perfect for four, not so much for 5. The upside is the VW is cheap to mod, already has wheels, ipod, tint and a bunch of other goodies and I got to keep the S80 as my car, the closest thing Ill ever get to a sports car

 

The VW's are great imo and from what I've heard. Congrats again.
