We just pruchased an '05 XC90
It came with one key (the valet key) and no remote. I called the local volvo dealer and they said it would be $273 for a new key and to program it. $170 for the key and $103 for labor.
Can I buy a key on ebay and then have the dealership program it?
Will it be the pop out key at the dealership?
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this?

e-bay may be a good idea, but: we got also 2005 (bought new),and we used only one of the two remotes, recently the remote "gave up" -needed 2-3 presses to function, so it was replaced under warranty.
So, if you buy very well used remote on e-bay, you'll pay $103 to program it to find out it does not work well - it is a game, but if you can find almost new remote you'd save about $150.
