Default 06 Changing Seat Control Module - Need Software?

I am changing my driver's seat control module on my 06 XC90 this week. I bought the car used from a private seller who apparently bashed the crap out of the current module, and it is missing all the memory related buttons but one and that one is stuck and does nothing. There is also a 30 second delay before you can adjust the seat and the passenger mirror moves automatically to look at the sky when you turn the car on, and I am hoping a new module will rectify all these issues. (?)

Anyways, I am just wondering if there will be some kind of stupid stealership software I will need to install to get the new module to work. I don't need it tied to a specific key or anything as my wife and I share the same key for every day use and keep the spare one at the house as a backup; I just need two of the memory settings to work at the very least. Seems like nothing is just an easy r&r on this vehicle due to all the software! Any input is appreciated! TIA!

Thanks for the reply. So is the only way to get the software to go to the dealership? I don't have a computer with Windows 7 on it so I am not going to bother with my own VIDA DICE setup right now and I don't know anyone that has one. Will it not work at all unless I mess with the software?

Actually, the software is for the module, not the switch pack. Should be plug and play. I double checked today at work

Do you think the new switch pack could rectify the problem I am having with the passenger mirror by setting a new memory setting? I searched the forum and only found one other post that said they had to take it to the dealership to have the mirror re-initialized. Is there any way to do it myself? I tried pulling fuses for the door and seat modules to reset them but no dice.

I don't know, I haven't seen that problem. If I were to guess, it would be a module problem... Which does need software.
