08 XC90 Gas Smell
Hello All!
recently when I filled the tank of my 08 XC90 I got this strong gas smell in the garage. If I keep the fuel at or below half a tank then the smell is not there.
I read some old threads that mention it could be the fuel pump. I don't believe that's the case since the gas smell is outside of the car and not inside and this vehicle has the fuel pump inside below the back seat. Also there is no visible fuel leak, I have been checking regularly for puddles or gas stains on the ground.
Any other ideas of what could be the issue?

Fuel pump is in the fuel tank.There may be sealed access holes under the rear seat to get to the pump but there will not be any openings that would allow anything into the cabin of the car.
