Hey guy, new here…..looking for some guidance on a 2005 xc90 v8 that came into work with fuel pump not turning on…previous shop changed pump asst, and now a new pem and still no fuel. I played with it the other day but battery was too low to even run scanner fuel pump test so let charge for the weekend and wanna get back to it but need to understand the system. Identifix has very little info on it. What I have figured out is that the wiring appears to be same Color’s as a 2007 from what I can find and not a 2005 schematic with a white and white/black going from the pem to fuel pump.

can anyone give a brief description on how this system works to power up the pump with any other sensors in play. Doesn’t appear to be a typical system.
Tested about 2.5 volts going to pump at the plug briefly with ignition turned on with a 10 volt dead battery. Before charging.

now Monday I want to do a deep diagnostic but don’t fully understand the system so looking for some info. I think I read about a fuel pressure sensor in there too that may be causing no pump.
