xc90 fuelrail pressure too low
i purchased a 2005 xc90 a couple months ago an my fiancé and I both love it, the problem is it just died on her one day so we had it towed to a shop and they hooked it up to a machine a nd ran it for a couple days. the only thing they could figure out is that is was the fuel pump. I replaced the fuel pump and the filter both and it ran for a couple days then died and will not start. I hooked it up to an obd machine and it gave the code p0087, fuel rail pressure too low. It gave no codes for sensors so how would I diagnose the problem? Any help or ideas would be greatfully appreciated. You can email me with any response at jlee1060558@gmail.com
Considering you've replaced the pump already, I'd suspect an issue with either battery voltage, wiring into the pump or a bad ground. Did you swap out the fuel pump relay when the pump was replaced?
I can't find the fuel pump relay in my 05 xc90, the only place I can find any relays is under the hood but none of them are labeled for the fuel pump. And when I do find it how would I jump it to test it, meaning which slots?
