Hello, thank you for accepting me into the group, moderators. I have a question about my 2005 volvo xc90, hoping someone might have some opinions...

When I cold start the vehicle, it idles high for about 10 second and then winds back down to about 750 rpm. And drives with no major engine "missfiring". When I reach my destination, and shut the engine off, when I go to restart it the motor kinda goes crazy. Idles up and down and almost dies (sometimes does dies) but once you get it into drive and giving it gas and getting up to speed, it seems fine. Until you shut it off and go to restart it, does the same thing.

Any Intel would be much appreciated, thanks!

any check engine codes? You should read up on symptoms of a dirty or faulty electronic throttle body - aka the ETM (electronic throttle module) search the board for ETM posts plus there a multiple vids on YouTube
