Decided to do a review of a 2007 Volvo XC90. If you own one, please feel free to add your comments so others will have information from an owner's perspective.

I have a XC90 T6, the same as on this post.
I disassembled my automatic gearbox and the angle drive (see photo)

I noticed on the angle drive, like a drain plug.
Can someone tell me if this item, must be drained ??
Nothing is writte about this on VOLVO VIDA.
If it drains what oil to use?

I currently own a 2010 XC90 3.2 with just under 100k miles. I must say that I absolutely love the car from a comfort, ride, capacity perspective. I really love the rear cargo area and the tailgate. I will say that the 3.2 is interesting, as Robert also mentioned, the shift points are a bit weird sometimes and im not sure this engine is mated really well with the transmission. That being said, I have had no issues as far as maintenance and everything seems fine. I did do a fluid flush right around 85k miles. Also, the gas mileage is not great, I get about 15 around town and 21-22 highway max. Besides those two downfalls, this is a great vehicle and I would highly recommend it, especially if you like to do your own work on the vehicles.
