So my 2007 XC90 3.2L gear shift will not stay in drive. While driving the gear shift will slide to the left to manual mode. I have done some research and believe the problem is a broken gear shift selector rocker arm or claw. The problem is that I have to remove the gear selector stop plate before I can get to the rocker arm and I cannot figure out how to do it. Seems that the design for the gear shift selector box changed in 2007 and I cannot find any information on how to remove the stop plate. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
