2010 Volvo xc90 3.2L Transmission Fluid Change
I've had my XC90 since 2016, bought it at 88K miles, had two previous owners before me. I've never been a car person but now I work at a dealership and am wanting to get more into vehicles more importantly my vehicle and general upkeep. I've never personally changed the transmission fluid and never had it changed. It's at 208K miles now, I don't know if it's giving me any problems but I figured it's worth draining and replenishing after so long but after talking to my friend he said that it could cause more damage than good, I don't have money right now to have the transmission seriously serviced so if changing the fluid at this point would cause more harm and problems down the line I'd like to avoid that. I'm just looking for thoughts and advice on whether or not it's too late to change the transmission fluid or if because I'm not noticing any problems right now with my transmission is it safe to change it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
