2014 XC90 no headlights, no relay, no fuse just CEM
Last week one headlight went out dash shoed Low Beam Failure. then BOTH low beams went out ( I have H11 and H7 Halogens). Found no fuses blown, bulbs OK. Found NO RELAY AT ALL! Apparently the CEM performs as both fuse and relay in 2013-14 XC90's. So I disconnected the battery in hopes of clearing codes in the CEM.......now my high beams don't work, either!
Anything else I can try short of arson?
What will it take to diagnose why I have no headlights?
Any help will be appreciated.
Did volvo substitute a thousand dollar CEM for a $1 fuse?

Fuse 22 and 23 on the CEM are for the high beams -
If a headlamp bulb shorts out - the CEM will cut off power to that circuit, (like a circuit breaker) and set a code in the CEM. You need to use a compatible scan tool and check for CEM codes. After erasing them (and replacing the bulb/s) The CEM will restore power to the circuit/s.

you need a tool that can read the chassis code set. Most tools read just the powertrain and some do the ABS codes as well. You can try going to a dealer or a Volvo friendly tech or see if you can borrow a scanner from a big box store like Autozone. I've local indys who will do obd 2 scans for free and some dealers.
