Default 2014 XC90 owner looking for another one: new or used?

I am the owner of a 2014 XC90 since new that now has 82,000 miles on the odometer. The car has been reliable and without incident thus far. It has the rather pedestrian 3.2L inline 6 cylinder that is pretty underpowered, but gets the job done. My daughter will soon be driving and I want her first car to be a safe one, so I will be giving her my XC90 and I am wondering if I should be looking for a new XC90 or just find another reliable low mileage 2013-2014 XC90 like the one I have. I test drove the 2017 R-Design version and was very impressed with the power and performance coming out of that 4 cylinder, but I must admit that I am not a fan of such small displacement engines coupled with turbo/supercharging for the long haul. The analogy of a little heart powering the huge great dane comes to mind. What is the consensus of the longevity and durability of these little 4 cylinder engines working overtime to pull these heavy bodied SUV XC90s? Will we see these engines lasting 200,000 miles? Will the turbos or superchargers be durable to last into the higher mileage vehicles or is everything geared to become a disposable car? Call me old fashioned, but I just have a hard time thinking that these small 4 cylinder engines will withstand the long haul of years pulling a 4300LB+ vehicle. What is the general consensus here on the forum? Is the best XC90 behind us or are the new ones the best ever made? Please help.

A recent wealth management article (forget the source...) suggested the best strategy to work the depreciation curve is to buy low mileage pre-owned cars with under 25K miles and sell when the cars go over 100K. The benefit of a current model year may be more of features/styling than resale value, so this suggests a 2-3 year old XC90 is the way to go if you are focused on costs. Same article suggested most high quality imports can get 200K miles while suggesting the American made Ford/GMs are turning the corner at 150K.
