I found a local 98 v70 GLT that needs a motor. its $450 to me. I somewhat know the guy.

the other is a 96 850 but it has 90K on it and runs fine. its also around $2600

I cant decide if I can do better with the cheap one and fix as I go..(need to find a motor)

or if it would be best to go get the low mileage working one and enjoy.

I am not sure the model on the 96 other than its a 850 glt

If it's a T5 I would buy the 850 as long as it had service records. What kind of shape is it in? $2600 gets you a really nice 850 (good to excellent condition). Probably cost more to get the V70 going anyway.

 

850 was trashed, shame cause the miles were low. been in a wreck.

I am thinking of picking up the s70 and parting it cause its loaded with good parts.

 

Welcome to VF. If the body of the V70 is in very good shape, I would take it for 450. You can get a good motor from Erie Volvo shipped to you for not much money. Can you put the motor in yourself?
