Default 2016 with high miles

I’m a Volvo 240 owner (1993 is my daily driver). I’m looking at buying a XC90. Would be daily driver and occasional tow vehicle (2000lb camper). There is a 2016 t6 momentum available that has 38,000 miles for $39,000. Sold certified from a Volvo dealership with regular maintenance records on carfax report. Any comments on # of Miles for a fairly new vehicle and if the newer Volvo’s can handle high miles. Any thoughts would be great!

See if the dealer has the maintenance history and will sell you an extended warranty. While 38K sounds like a lot of miles for a 1-2 year old car, with proper maintenance you should expect 200K+ for the life fo the car so its not really a risk. certified's come with a basic extended warranty but you may want to trade off some of the lower purchase price (do some research on market prices as $39K may or may not be the fully discounted price for the mileage) for an extended warranty to say 100K.

Thanks for the suggestions. The recommendation for some sort of extended warranty is a great one especially considering the reputation I am reading with the '16's. Thanks again. Deciding if I go 2016 or wait a bit and try to find a '17 down the road.
