2016 Volvo XC90 P018C Fuel Pressure Sensor B Circuit Low
Hello,
I have a 2016 XC90 with 129xxx km. There is a service bulletin that expired at 80,000 miles (128xxx km).
I have a P018C Fuel Pressure Sensor B Circuit Low message when scanned with an OBDII scanner.
As its out of warranty and the Volvo TSB, Im on the hook for the repair. Volvo wants $159 for just scanning with their scanner for diagnosing then add labour and parts.
My question is regarding the sensor itself. There are 2 fuel pressure sensors on the XC90. One on the fuel rail and one on the feed to the rail (looks like a T). Which is the one to replace?
Thanks in advance.

I have a 2016 Volvo XC90 with 45k. Six months ago the engine light came on, and my dealer told me as I don’t do many miles, it wasn’t worth fixing. Another dealer told me it was imperative I got it fixed. So I paid $1,566.72 and they replaced two oxygen sensors. Within a month of having that done, the light came back on and apparently the code is P0180C, and I was told I had to take the car back to my original dealer. I’ve just been looking online and I see this code is for a fuel sensor. Does anyone know if this is dangerous to drive, since I really can’t afford another costly repair.
Thanks guys
since posting this I went online chat directly with Volvo, which turned out to be an unhelpful bot. I finally took the car back to the Volvo dealer I purchased it from and it seems that this fuel sensor gauge was covered under a warranty recall, so the repair was done and it didn’t cost me anything 😀
