Any way to disable remote unlocking?
Hello all,
I have a 2010 XC90...In my area there's been a rash of petty thefts from vehicles where the thieves have used electronic devices to unlock the doors/turn off the alarm the same way you would via the keyfob/remote. No signs of forced entry, very little but loose change taken (so I don't think the thief would bother breaking a window).
What I'm wondering is if there's any way to (maybe by removing a fuse) to disconnect the ability to remotely unlock the vehicle, but still enable the vehicle to be opened using the key in the door (and started/driven, of course).
Many thanks in advance!

Check the owners manual for the fuse that supplies power to the remote locks. Anything else on the same circuit? If not that's all it should take, but if something else stops working at the same time that is important to you then put the fuse back and consider an alternative.
