Battery Disconnect and Reset
As a new B70 owner having read the Haynes manual I have a question (actually lots of questions but I will ask one at a time ... LOL).
After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, the Haynes manual directs one to use the keyless remote to reset the "upper electronic module".
My used V70 came without a remote. Unlocking the drivers door with the key seems to set the alarm (lights flash). Will use of the key in the door also reset the "upper electronic module" after a battery disconnect?
If not, I guess I will have to fork out for a remote.

The key will reset it.
It is kind of funny they say that. Because the remote will not work either because it is controlled by the UEM. So if you need to do it to reset the UEM you cannot because the remote will not work.
So yes the key does it fine.
