My first time trying to navigate this forum. I'm usually on TDICulb forum. My inlaws just bought a 2008 XC90 recently. I have two questions regarding their vehicle for them.

1. While driving last night they had the head lights on "automatic",when they tried using the bright lights ,they had to end up manually holding the brights on. The brights would not stay on buy them selfs.

2. They also travel with a dog, and in the past had a Suburban, and was able to lock the vehicle with it running (AC on) for hot conditions. Is it possible to lock the XC90 with it running ?

Can you guys help me here? Thanks

 

1- The high-beams will only stay on if the light switch is turned to "on" position on the switch.

2- After reading the manual; it looks like the doors will not lock if the key is in the ignition. I guess it's a preventative measure so you won't lock you keys in the car.
