buying an XC90
Hi,
I am new to the forum and have been looking to downsize from a Land Rover to the XC90. Any advice? I have heard to stay away from the T6. How are the 2wd ones? I am not sure I need the 4wd anymore, and it definitely does cut down on the price. I am looking at 2005 and above. Thanks so much.

Definately stay away from the T6. Most people recommend the V8, it seems to get the same or better milage as the 2.5. Our 2wd, and all are FWD, and performs good on the road, never had off road. We are very happy with the drive ,comfort, and styling of ours, wish the milage was a bit better......

Thanks for the reply. I did end up buying a 2006 V8 today. Totally loaded, certified, warranty till 100k. I love it so far. As for mileage, I got 12mpg with the Land Rover, and averaged 19 today with the Volvo. I feel like I am driving some sort of electric car or Yugo when it comes to mileage. The thing tells me I have 285 miles left and I have over half a tank to go. I got 320 miles out of a whole tank on a good day with the Land Rover and I had to buy premium. I am a happy mom! I can even talk on the bluetooth through the radio! Yeah!
Thanks!
Thanks!

thanks so much. Got it for less than 21K, end of the month/quarter..anxious to unload them, I think. My husband has a 2000 S70 with 250K, so we know the Volvo's last. My girls are enjoying the DVD and the "new car smell" as opposed to the "french fry/ juice box/rotten milk" smell of the Land Rover. We have demoted the Land Rover to the "hunting/dump/emergency car". Ha ha.
