I am buying a used XC 90. I have already treaded through the haze of years to stay away from but now that I have decided the range of years to look for now 2006-2009 I can't decide which engine. The 3.2 I6 or the V8. My only question with the V8 is the fact that Volvo discontinued the V8. Is this something I should be concerned with or go for it? Would I be happy if I decide to go with the 3.2?

 

My 2006 has the 2.5 L 5 cylinder engine. The power is adequate, gives 22 to 24 MPG on highway. 122,000 miles, runs and handles good.
