Everyone -
I've only had this XC90 for a week or so. I hope the AC refrigerant is low because the AC is pretty terrible overall. The issue I am concerned with is the AC fan. Starting at level 3 it sounds like a Huey helicopter coming in for a landing. It gets progressively worse and louder from there. Is that common on XC90s? Mine is a 2007 3.2.

The Aux Fan is PN 31368075, $365.

If you are handy, you can remove the Aux Fan and rebuild it yourself (near bearings, brushes etc.)

 

Thanks for that. I don't mind shelling out for a new A/C fan if it is damaged. I wonder though, do xc90s AC fans sound like windows down on this highway?
