hello everyone was just looking for some help with my xc 90 with duel VVT

ive just replaced the head gasket and re-lapped valves etc basic head rebuild

ive aligned the crank pulley and timing marks on the cam shaft cranks to TDC

the cam pulleys are 100% clockwise in accordance to TDC

ive aligned the rear of the cam shaft pulleys so that they are 100% horizontal

ive replaced the water pump, timing belt and AUX belt and all pulleys & tensioners

when i turn the engine over there is a noise for a split second that sounds like

metal on metal screech followed by a short hiss , this noise only happens on start up can anyone tell me what this is???

also the engine is not reaching operating temperature even when its been sitting for 10 mins the temp gauge is 1 bar below the mid line ?? ive replaced the thermostat recently also

any ideas would be appreciated
