Default A/C hose wont secure into valve

Hey guys, my vehicle is a 06 V8 with 110k miles, its blowing warm air so decided to add refrigerant, the hose i used seems like its too big for the valve it doesnt want to secure itself in place, I used this hose in other vehicles with no issue, i have another hose, ill give it a another try , does volvo require a special A/C hose for the valve?

Volvo uses standard R134 connections. Low and high side connectors are different sizes.

Your V8 has a variable displacement compressor. The Fomoco 6cyl does also but the 5 cyl cars do not. A common reason the system will not blow cold air even if full of refrigerant is the valve in the compressor that controls the displacement. The valves go bad or get clogged making the compressors not work properly.

With a compatible scan tool you can check the action of the valve.

Thank you but i cant even attach the A/C hose to the low side , it will go in but doesnt stay in place, i want to check the refrigerant levels. I have another hose, later today ill try it again with the other hose.
