Cabin filter direction of airflow?

Cabin filter direction of airflow?
Does anyone have clarification as to which direction the arrows on a new cabin filter should face? Should they face engine or the cabin? Thanks for any help you can offer.
IIRC it will be towards the vehicles interior

Thanks for the reply. I had a couple replies on other sites stating that the arrows face towards the engine because the air flow goes forward. Seems to be working well. Thanks again for the quick reply.
