I just dont know how to tweat these settings properly what setups do some of you guys use? I listen to mostly country and classic rock what type of setup would you recommend for those genres? any help is appreciated im sick of having a high end sound system and having it sound all out of whack

I've don't have any upgrades on the sound system on my XC90, so if you do - it might be different. My system has a basic "bass" and "treble" control accessible from the big dial on the right alongside of the fade and balance settings. Then, mine has more detailed EQ within the "menu" and has separate EQ settings for both the front and rear speakers. If yours is like this, here are some tips..
On EQ within the menu, I set both the front and rear EQ's to the same settings. For the 50hz band, I left it at 0 (the middle), for the 200hz band I pushed it up 4 notches or so. For 1khz, I put it at 3 notches. 3khz at 2 notches, 12khz at 1 notch. I then went to the basic EQ through the dial and boosted the bass almost all the way up and left the treble in the middle.
I find this setting to sound good - hope this helps!

Cool - hope it works for you. Generally, you'll be able to tweak a good bit with that 5 band EQ in the menu. A basic guide to using those bands is that 50hz will add depth, 200hz should fill out the sound and add some punch to the low end. 1khz will add bite, but typically is not a pleasing frequency. Kind of the same for 3khz.. adds some high-mid detail, but usually not a freq that I boost, although it seems to not be too harsh in the XC90. The 12khz is pretty high, so it'll add sheen and crispness.
Without using the menu EQ and just boosting the bass on the dial, my XC90 had a plush low end without much punch. The mids and highs were ok, but punch in the low end was lacking - but the menu EQ seems to allow for me to kind of make up for that. My XC90 has the premium package and the versatility package.
My wife bought a 2007 S60 before we were married.. any idea on how to see which packages it has?
Thanks!
