Default CD/Radio

Hi My CD has ejected number 5 without warning then each time I select another CD the screen says "Deck Error" and will not load another CD.
What can I do? I can not eject any CD's or get any to play. Help guys we are talking David Bowie CD's here.

If your cd changer is broken and does not respond, you will need to remove the unit from the dash and carefully take the unit apart to get the remaining cds out.

Thank you very much, is it fairly easy to remove and do I need tools?

Yes you will need knowledge and simple tools. The climate module comes out before the ICM - to get it out the shifter has to be moved back, to move the shifter the key has to be on, battery connected and foot on the brake. If you unplug the CCM with the battery connected - that will set a SRS/airbag code that will require a scan and erase to eliminate. (so don't unplug the CCM with the battery connected)

You should find instructions on CCM removal below. It is latched at the top to the Tuner. Tuner comes apart with a phillips head screwdriver. The CD player will come out by itself. There is a ribbon cable to deal with connecting the player to the unit - but with care can be easily removed. xemodex may be able to help with the repair if you want to use the cd player again.
