Default Changing DVD headrest in 2006 XC90

Greetings - I have a 2006 Volvo XC90 with the factory dual monitors in the headrests, and I need to replace one of them due to child-inflicted damage (lol). How do I get it out? I can see that there is a connector, and I have looked online and found the many videos and instruction sets for removing the headrests generally - but they don't seem to be moving.

Other than pressing at the "two points" and unplugging the connector, is there anything else I should be doing? Please let me know, would be greatly appreciated!

Also, if I switch the monitor, is there anything else I need to do that might involve dealer involvement (ugh!)? I don't need to "activate" the DVD or anything, do I?

Thanks!

You dont need to take the headrest out. The DVD players can be removed by taking out the screws the hold it onto the headrest behind the actual screen.

i had to replace one for the same reason and my recollection is they just pull out, like you're adjusting it upwards but keep going until it comes out. there are different types for different years (different screen and connector) and they are outrageously expensive new; i found used one on ebay cheap that was right color headrest and model. frankly this type of system is dated now and my kids never use them (use ipad or phone instead).
