Default control buttons stopped responding

Hi,

We have a 2007 XC90 3.2, and today sbortly after I started driving I noticed all climate controls and other buttons below the radio stopped working (defrost, exterior mirror, seat heat, parking assist etc). I stopped and restarted the car and it didn't resolve. We called the service and scheduled to bring the car in tomorrow but once we got home I re-ignited the car (I took the key off and put back on) and everything started responding again. The service said they wanted to look at it anyways but I suspect they'll find anything because there are no fault lights on (and probably no codes). It seems to me that it was a software failure and got reset but I was wondering if anyone experienced similar problem and have any input. We leased the car 2 months ago, hopefully this will not happen again. The car got all fogged up on the highway, it was pretty bad driving experience. Thanks.

I had the exact same experience with my new 2007 XC90 last week3 days afterI bought it. It hasn't happened again but I'm wondering what it means and is there anything I should do about it. I hate to take it in for them to have it for a day to say we didn't find anything wrong. Has it happened to you again?

if it does it again bring it back to the shop cause for one its under warranty and most likely it did set a code even though no light came on. when they put it on the computer it will come up as an intermittent fault. they will probably do software upgrades on the car which will most likely correct the fault. or replace the faulty component under warranty.
