Cylinder Head Help
Hi, I have the 2008 XC 90 D5 2.4L 185HP. Few months back my auxiliary belt broke and jumped the timing. Thus my head was damaged.
I got the head repaired from UK. The head was surfaced during the repair job. My stock gasket was 2 Holes and then the repair shop recommended me 3 Holes.
Following the same instructions the valves started to touch the pistons. Only the exhaust Valves. Later installed 5 holes gasket and then too the problem was not solved.
Called another head from the UK from eBay and the seller said it was a stock head. My mechanic saw it but said it was worked on has it had drill holes on it. we installed that head with 5 holes gasket straight and still there is cluttering sound.
Can anyone help me here with the measurements of a stock head (Height in MM)? This way I can compare with the two heads. this has been frustrating and the mechanic cannot go wrong with the timing as he is hight experienced and works only on high end vehicles.
Or is there anything else to look into?
