Driver side mirror case

XC90 Driver side mirror case cracked
2008 XC90. We backed out of the garage and almost took off the driver's side ext. mirror (has BLIS) ... case all cracked but the mirror, heat & folding mech. works. Holding with tape. Dealer wants $900 just for the exterior case (no interior parts)! Any cheaper options? Thanks.
