Default Drivers Side Low Beam

Hi,
I was hoping for some help with this issue. My driver side low beam does not light. My husband replaced the bulb, fuse, and even the entire headlight assembly. He then checked the socket but there is no power going to it, even in the new one. Anyone have this problem? He has spent a lot of time on this for me and I'm trying to help him find an answer. Thank You.

Thanks. The first link seems to be a simple fix, have you tried this solution?

Question

The UK forum has a nice write-up on CEM. Look at the photos, specifically "LH Dipped Beam Relay" (which says made in Thailand).

These are electronic SPDT relays that are used in many different systems.

Website below lists it for $2.70. I'd buy 2 just in case the other side (passenger side) fails later:

Thanks again but that is for an S40, the CEM in the XC90 is not located there. I have located it but cannot figure out how to remove it to access the relay. I appreciate your help though.

What year is your XC90?
Next time when posting messages, you need to post the year/make/model/mileage, it makes it easier for people who try to help you.

The CEM: same idea whether it is S40 or XC90.

---> up to 2004 XC90:

2005-2013 XC90:
