I bought my 05 Volvo about a month ago, and i have noticed lately that whenever I go around turns (left or right) there is a clicking sound coming from the seat, on the right side underneath. It sounds like its coming from the hinge where the bottom meets the back piece. Anyone have ideas on what this may be? I have an appt to take it to my dealer but if there is a simple at home repair I can do, I am all for it. I am a mechanic so I do have the abilities but since I have a warranty on it, Id rather them touch it and figure it out then me. Thanks

 

They might add a little shock setup to minimize the movement of the seat.

 

alright. would something like that be covered under warranty? i have the wynn's warranty which is bumper to bumper so hopefully that would be covered. is there a bushing in the hinge that would wear out? If your sitting in the seat, its right below your right butt cheek, so it seems ... what is there that could wear out or loosen to make it click?

 

It could be a few things see what they say. It might be covered.

 

I'm going to try to have mine covered under warranty also. Its doing the same thing...among other little noises here and there.

 

My seat just started doing that, and the dealer said that there was little they could do to fix it. Did anyone actually get the entire seat replaced?
