Engine light blinking and remained showing

Default Engine light blinking and remained showing
What could be causing the car when I try accelerate it jerks like it Wana stop and show engine sign
Also making funny sound like exhaust broken
Sounds like it's misfiring
Please help

what model/year and how many miles? If you are 100K+ miles then it may be a coil pack going south. If your check engine light is on, you need to get the OBD2 codes read...

Does blinking indicate a misfire? It does on some cars.

A blinking check engine light means that the catalytic converter is in danger of being damaged by a misfire.
