2017 XC90 T6 with 105,000 miles. Contacted Steingold to extend our Platinum Warranty. Volvo now requires the vehicle to be under the original factory warranty for their extended warranty. Steingold has partnered with All State for extended warranties. The coverage appears to be identical, covering nearly everything. 2 questions: Has anyone had experience with the All State warranty? Any pros or cons? Also, we will likely keep this car until 150,000-175,000 miles. Any known issues that we should be expecting as we approach higher mileage? Coverage for an additional 48,000 miles runs about $6K. Trying to decide if it is worth the investment and peace of mind. Thanks in advance!

 

This is just an insurance policy - in my view, the product is all about the price and what's covered. With that said, you need to read the policy statements closely (or have ChatGPT summarize for you :-) ) to see what is covered and make mental notes of what is not. My only experience has been I bought a CPO car that came with an extended factory warranty which came up big when the engine developed oil pressure issues. (Got a new long block covered).
