09' 3.2L FWD.
The dealer replaced both front tires at no cost and aligned the vehicle. Great folks to deal with and very helpful.
It now drives itself off the road, to the right on acceleration upwards of 40mph.
It didn't do this with the old tires. BUT.... it did when I first bought it new. The front L,R tires were rotated and all was fine.... until now - with new tires up front. Alignment was checked and rechecked.
I was told the front drive shafts are not of equal lengths, causing torque steer?

 

They are not equal, the right is of course longer, but it should be too much of a problem. Other problems?

 

By chance did you mean "shouldn't be too much..."?
Other problems, not yet. Michelin is in the loop, as of Friday.
I crawled underneath, and the shafts looked close enough to being equal to me. Nothing like what I've seen pictures of showing the differences between unequal, equal and intermediate shafts.

Yes should not, sorry. I have seen problems when they come over on trucks or what not, they tie them down tight and ruin the alignment and in some rare cases, the shocks leak too.
