Default Fuel gauge problem

I just replaced the fuel pump on my 2004 Volvo XC90 T6 AWD. Now the fuel gauge does not work. Is there some sort of reset I need to do or any ideas?

Are you sure you connected the fuel pump. I know it sounds stupid but did you make sure it clicked?

You mean did I plug it in? Yes I did the plug is on the top and the car will start and run fine. It's just the gauge won't work

Ok. You might want to check if both of the floats aren't stuck

I checked the one that is attached to the fuel pump when I realized that it wasn't working. It didn't seem to be hung up on anything tho.

OEM pump ? Do you have 3rd row seats in the vehicle ? The two sending units feed to a computer back in the l.h. wheel well .
Are any dash warning displays on the instrument cluster ?
