Unhappy Help Please: Fuel pressure drops. Pump or module?

In the "on" position, I can't get fuel pressure. I keep trying (off-on, off-on) and eventually I hear the pump and get the required 58 lbs. but upon starting, the pressure immediately starts to drop and engine stops after about 30 seconds when pressure reaches 10 lbs. Has anyone seen this before? Is the pump failing or is there a communication problem from the fuel module to the pump? What should be my next step?

Default It was the module.

Apparently its common as the module is originally placed in front of the back wheel and every bit of road grime is thrown at it. When I removed it and gave it a shake, it sounded like a salt shaker and had corrosion around the plug. $500 later and running like a top.
