My wife and I have decided to pursue buying an affordable used xc90. After a lot of time spent onling trying to target the specific one, we are getting scared since it appears there are many problems with just about every model. Talk me down: with our budget somewhere between $11-14K, we see a typical selection in the 2003-2005 model years. We are of course looking for lowest mileage and see some in the range of 50-65k miles. As we are in Minnesota, we will go with AWD. The 2.5 engines are lower priced and more-readily available, but we fear the lesser power. The T6 are more rare and higher priced, but it sounds like there may be more problems (transmission and such) with them. I see some v-8 starting in 2005, but read here that the first year offering may have been a problem, too. Are we out of luck in our quest?
