Default instrument cluster xc90

I am having a problem with the instrument cluster in my volvo xc90 that just occured out of the blue. It goes blank but everything else in car works. If the car is shut off it comes back on after 10 minutes or so but eventually will go back off. None of the gauges work when off. If comes back on the message center say SRS- failure but the airbags are fine. I have seen post on internet but not anyone who has found or posted the correction for this problem. Any help out there.

Thanks

I had similar issues with my 2003 XC90. The dealership had to replace the cluster to resolve it. There are facilities to rebuild them for considerably less money, but only if you have the option of not needing the car while the cluster is being rebuilt.

Regards,
David

call erievovo.com and ask adam if he has a cluster close in mileage and swap it out, takes 20 minutes to do and much cheaper than the $1200 dealer job. last cluster i bought cost me $75 shipped to the door. i bought a tan/wood great condition sport steering wheel for $65 shipped to the door from them yesterday
