We have had multiple instances where neither the primary nor the secondary key fob is being recognized as being present to start the car (but both work to unlock the car). Placing either in the center console as recommended does not work. The last time this happened I completed the pending software update and once that completed - they both worked again.

now we are stuck without the ability to start the car again and no software update is pending.

this is a brand new (23) XC90, less than 2000 miles, fully patched, new FOBs, and no clear (to me) pattern!

ideas? Help Volvo!!
