Default Mileage

My wife and I are considering buying a PCO 2019 XC90 T6 Inscription but it has a little over 49k mileage so we are little hesitant, thinking this is too high. Does anyone have any advice on if this mileage should scare us or because of the quality of the brand this mileage is fine?

Thanks

What kind of warranty does it come with?

That's obviously above average mileage but hardly likely to be knackered with only 49k on it. If it were 149k I could understand your reticence

Provided the asking price reflects the mileage I can't see any problem here.

IMO, I'd probably shy away from purchasing, unless I knew who owned the car and how it was used. Also, assuming you are buying from a Volvo dealer, ask to see the maintenance records. Lastly, regardless of what the dealer says, my advice would be to have the car inspected as a mechanic of YOUR choice (about $150) to ensure that it's sound, has been properly maintained, doesn't need any costly near term repairs or replacements (e.g., brakes, tires, etc.), and has not been in an accident.

I do have a concern about the nature of the 49K miles. If it was derived from primarily long distance highway travel, then I'd probably have no trouble buying it. However, if it was used for taxi (Lift or Uber) service, then I'd stay away from it. Not sure how you can tell the difference, but perhaps the mechanic you get to check the car can look for signs that might show if the car was a highway queen or a local hauler.

Also, if purchasing, an extended service contract/warranty would be advisable, since this vehicle can be costly to repair.

Remember, the car you don't buy is the problem you don't have, so don't fall in love with it based on beauty, alone.
