rp850 had posted in another thread, how to obtain the mileage on the car from module A. I followed the instructions for my 1994 sdn and much to my chagrin got a number that suprised me,but I also am not quite sure what it is. For the last three digits I got 8-5-1, and for the first three digits I got 1-10-1. These were the number of flashes from the red indicator light. What is the mileage this indicates, 101,851? Obviously my odometer had been not working for a longer period of time before it was repaired,as it reads just over 72,000 miles!

 

I'm sorry I don't know enough about this procedure or how the ECU calculates mileage to tell you why there might be reasons for the discrepancy other than the odometer failure. If you're concerned about the mileage, I'd order a carfax.com report that should have some mileage information that was recorded at inspections, service visits, etc. throughout the life of the car. I'd be a good $20 well spent and you'd know immediately if something was amiss. Even if this car had 101K on it, it's barely broken in

 

If your local dealer is nice you may beable to get them to check it for free. We can use the hand held diagnostic tool to check.
I did the carfax thing when I bought my 850 turbo and was pretty close on my quess to the mileage but its still nice to know for sure.
