Default Need help with this connection

I just rebuilt the transmission in my 04 t6. I'm getting everything back together but I can't find the other end of these connections. The one I'm most concerted about is the one with the red lock on it. I'm pretty sure it's important. As for the other two, I'm not even sure if they go to anything. I already went through a wiring diagram but I don't even know what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated.

I've got an almost identical connector which wasn't connected to anything? I think it might be an optical crash, or ambient temp sensor (randomly different, I know)? It's got P/N: 9456721 on it, which is listed as a Cover in the ECU Harness, but does not identify the actual sensor (item 18 in attached link https://parts.volvocarsofphoenix.com...2/9456721.html). Please help, I've currently got it sitting near the intake grill to get ambient air temp (if that's what it's for...).

I've also got a check engine light and have proven the electrical radiator fan has a burnt out contact on it, and also found a torn PCV valve (and consequently just replaced both), so I'm not sure which one would have been causing this engine light, or if it's this sensor (or maybe it's all of them?). I normally like to only change one thing at once to verify a problem's fixed, but I found all of this stuff broken, so needed to change it all.

P/N: 9456721
Optical or Temp Sensor???

I'm not sure how I've jacked the thread when the title of it is 'Need help with this connection'. Are you suggesting that I should have started another thread?

I did done digging around in the engine bay and found out that the connector with the red lock on is in the same loom at the o2 sensors. I stool haven't found where it goes though. If any body happens to be working in that area on there car please let merge know where the other end should be at. I'm tired of this thing being in my garage

What colours are all the wires going in to the connector (and any part numbers you can see)? I've got all the wiring diagrams, so might be able to work it out.

Your 3rd connector looks a lot like my one. My one was identified as a blanking plug for an unused connection (on a different forum). Can you disconnect it and pull of the cover to confirm? That's how I double checked mine.

I'm not sure if it helps cause' I've got the 2007-2011 Manual so I'm not sure if it's the same, but the only 'solid colour' wires of same colouring for the mentioned models are on the Rear Diff (DEM) ref top right of diagram below? It would need to have a BLU/RED wire as well though.

This manual does have older model Trannies in it though, what Part No. Gearbox is yours?

I think I found it. I got Part No 3545972 from zooming into your photo.

It's listed as Item 9 in the following link: https://parts.volvocarsofphoenix.com...3/3545972.html, &

is listed as a 4-Pole Oxygen Sensor for your model here: https://parts.volvocarsofphoenix.com...3/3545972.html
