Default Help with vacuum line connection

New member here! I just bought a 1998 Base V70. I have been looking at the forums looking for clues of what to look for and fixes. I just had the rear main seal replaced and the transmission seals, bushings, etc while it was out. I have a vacuum hose on the back side of the air intake box that is loose. There are two hoses connected to this sensor. The top one is white plastic that connects to the intake manifold tree. The lower one, which is loose, is black. This is a non-turbo car. There is a connection on the front/ left side where all the air intake hoses are. I think this is the air temperature switching valve ,whatever, where the air is switched between outside fresh air and heated air from the exhaust manifold. Could someone confirm that is where the hose in question is suppose to connect?
Thanks!
