I currently am driving a 2007 Volvo XC90 that is just the 5 passenger model with the larger cargo area in the back rather than the 3rd row of seats. I love this vehicle. I purchased it new in 2007 and I hate to get rid of it, but I really like some of the new features that the newer cars have. I was considering purchasing the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee since it is a 5 passenger with all the features I am looking for. I did not like that the Jeep is rear wheel drive and the ride was not as smooth as my Volvo. I had a run-in with a Jeep dealer that kinda turned me away from them and made me start looking at other options.

I am now considering waiting for the new XC90 to roll out and see what I think about it. The issue I have with this is I really do not want or need the 7 passenger model. I would prefer to have only 5 passenger and have the extra cargo space in the back. Does anyone know if Volvo might offer this? I know that the XC60 is only 5 passenger but I just really like the look of the XC90 better.

the new features I really want are the adaptive cruise control, the blind spot monitoring, blue tooth for phone and audio play.

If anyone knows if Volvo might be thinking of this I'd love to know. I'm trying to contact them but I really doubt they will be doing the 5 passenger. I'm going to continue driving my faithful 2007 XC90 and hope she holds out for me! :-)

I was at Volvo getting oil change in my 05 XC90 and they didnt have a 2016 yet but salesman gave me a thing called Google cardboard and a link to a App for my smart phone. It was a device to see a virtual 3D look at the new 2016 using your smart phone. Pretty neat little gadget. It was like sitting in the car. You could move your head around and the view would move with you.
